A ring that fits and a diamond that sparkles. Here's how we keep both true after your order arrives, and how to care for your jewelry at home.

Free ring resizing

If your ring doesn't fit, we'll resize it once for free within 100 days of delivery. Most gold and platinum rings can be sized up or down by up to two sizes. Larger changes may need extra metal, and we'll quote you before any work begins.

Usually resizable

  • Solitaire, halo, hidden-halo and three-stone engagement rings
  • Plain and most diamond-accented wedding bands
  • Most fashion rings in 10K, 14K and 18K gold or platinum

Not resizable or limited

  • Full eternity bands with stones all the way around
  • Tension settings, and rings with continuous patterns or engraving
  • Rings in tungsten, titanium or other alternative metals

Resized rings can't be returned, so please confirm your size with our ring size guide or visit us for a professional sizing before you request a resize. After 100 days, or for a second resize, we resize at our standard rates.

How to request your resize

  1. Contact us

    Chat with us or email info@picassogolddiamond.com with your order number and new size.

  2. Send or drop it off

    Ship it to us fully insured using our instructions, or drop it off at our Chicago showroom on Jewelers Row. Shipping is not included with the free resize; we’ll quote insured return shipping when we confirm your new size.

  3. We resize and inspect

    Our jewelers resize, polish and check every prong before the ring goes back to you.

Keep it sparkling at home

Fine jewelry needs very little to stay beautiful. A few simple habits keep your diamonds bright and your gold looking new between visits.

Simple habits

  • Take rings off for the gym, swimming, gardening and cleaning.
  • Put jewelry on after lotion, perfume and hairspray.
  • Store pieces separately in soft pouches so diamonds don't scratch gold.

Gentle cleaning

  • Soak in warm water with a drop of mild dish soap for 10–15 minutes.
  • Brush behind the stone with a soft toothbrush, rinse and pat dry.
  • Skip harsh household cleaners and toothpaste.
  • For pearls, opals and emeralds, a gentle wipe with a soft damp cloth is all they need.
