Jewelry Size Guide – Rings, Bracelets, Necklaces & More
Find your perfect fit for every piece. Use our step‑by‑step guides, printable tools, and conversion charts to match Picasso Gold & Diamond jewelry to your exact size.
How to Get the Most Accurate Measurement
General tips
- Measure at the end of the day when your hands and body are at their largest.
- Measure the exact finger, wrist, neck, or ankle where you’ll wear the jewelry.
- If you are between two sizes, choose the larger size for comfort.
- Use a soft measuring tape or non‑stretch string and a ruler marked in millimeters.
For gifts
- Borrow a piece they already wear on the same area and measure it.
- Ask friends or family if they know the recipient’s size.
- When in doubt, choose a slightly larger, more adjustable design.
Ring Size Guide
All Picasso Gold & Diamond rings are listed in US sizes. Use the methods below to measure at home, then match your measurements to our ring size chart.
Method 1 – Measure an existing ring
- Select a ring that fits the intended finger well.
- Place it on a ruler and measure the inner diameter straight across the center.
- Find the closest matching diameter in the chart below.
Method 2 – String or paper strip
- Cut a thin strip of paper or use a piece of non‑stretch string.
- Wrap it around the base of your finger and mark where it overlaps.
- Measure the length in millimeters – that is your finger circumference.
- Compare your measurement to the circumference column in the chart.
Ring Size Conversion Chart
Use millimeters for the most precise fit. If your measurement falls between sizes, we recommend choosing the next half‑size up.

Advanced Ring Fit Tips
- Wide bands (≥ 2.5 mm): They feel tighter. If you are between sizes, choose the larger size or go up by half a size.
- Stacking rings: For 3+ slim bands, many clients prefer half a size larger for comfort.
- Knuckles larger than the base: Consider a comfort‑fit band or sizing up ¼–½ size so the ring can pass over the knuckle but still sit securely.
- Engagement & wedding sets: Size your engagement ring first for everyday comfort, then match your wedding band to that size.
Bracelet Size Guide
Whether you love delicate chains, tennis bracelets, or bold Cuban links, the right length should feel secure while allowing natural movement.
How to measure your wrist
- Wrap a flexible tape measure around your wrist where a bracelet normally sits.
- Write down your wrist circumference in inches or millimeters.
- Add 0.5 in for a snug fit, or 0.75–1 in for a comfort/loose fit.
For bangles & cuffs
- Bring your thumb toward your little finger.
- Measure around the widest part of your hand (over your knuckles).
- Choose a bangle size slightly larger than this measurement so it can slide on and off.
Women’s Bracelet Sizes
| Fit | Wrist Circumference | Recommended Bracelet Length |
|---|---|---|
| Slim | 5.5–6.0 in (14–15.2 cm) | 6.5–7.0 in (16.5–17.8 cm) |
| Average | 6.0–6.5 in (15.2–16.5 cm) | 7.0–7.5 in (17.8–19 cm) |
| Full | 6.5–7.0 in (16.5–17.8 cm) | 7.5–8.0 in (19–20.3 cm) |
Men’s Bracelet Sizes
| Fit | Wrist Circumference | Recommended Bracelet Length |
|---|---|---|
| Slim | 6.5–7.0 in (16.5–17.8 cm) | 7.5–8.0 in (19–20.3 cm) |
| Average | 7.0–7.5 in (17.8–19 cm) | 8.0–8.5 in (20.3–21.6 cm) |
| Full | 7.5–8.0 in (19–20.3 cm) | 8.5–9.0 in (21.6–22.9 cm) |
Tennis bracelets and diamond line bracelets look best with a small amount of movement, not tight to the skin. Chunkier Cuban links may require an extra 0.25–0.5 in for the same feel.
Necklace Length & Layering Guide
Necklaces are listed by total length. Use the charts below to see where each standard length typically falls and how to layer chains and pendants.
Women’s Necklace Lengths
| Length | Name | Where It Falls |
|---|---|---|
| 14–15 in | Choker | High on the neck |
| 16–18 in | Princess | Around the collarbone (everyday length) |
| 20–22 in | Matinee | Top of the bust |
| 28–34 in | Opera | Below the bust |
| 36+ in | Rope / Lariat | Mid‑torso and below |
Men’s Necklace Lengths
| Length | Where It Falls |
|---|---|
| 18 in | Base of neck |
| 20 in | Below collarbone (classic length) |
| 22–24 in | Upper chest |
| 26–30 in | Mid to lower chest |
Earring Size Guide
Earring measurements are usually given in millimeters for diameter or length. Use this guide to visualize how different sizes will look on the ear.
Stud Earrings
| Diameter | Look & Use |
|---|---|
| 3–4 mm | Subtle everyday sparkle, great for second piercings |
| 5–6 mm | Classic size, noticeable yet refined for daily wear |
| 7–8+ mm | Bold statement studs, ideal for dressier occasions |
Hoops Width Chart Follows:
Hoop Diameter Chart
Hoop Earrings
| Hoop Diameter | Style |
|---|---|
| 10–15 mm | Huggies that sit close to the ear lobe |
| 20–30 mm | Everyday hoops with subtle movement |
| 40–60 mm | Large, attention‑grabbing statement hoops |
Thicker hoops appear smaller on the ear than thin hoops at the same diameter. For multiple piercings, combine one key piece with smaller studs or huggies for balance.
Anklet Size Guide
Anklets should sit comfortably above the ankle bone with a little movement.
How to measure
- Wrap a tape measure around your ankle, just above the ankle bone.
- Note the measurement in inches or millimeters.
- Add 0.5–1 in depending on whether you prefer a fitted or loose style.
Anklet size chart
| Fit | Ankle Circumference | Anklet Length |
|---|---|---|
| Snug | 8.0–8.5 in (20.3–21.6 cm) | 9.0 in (22.9 cm) |
| Classic | 8.5–9.0 in (21.6–22.9 cm) | 9.5–10.0 in (24.1–25.4 cm) |
| Loose | 9.0–10.0 in (22.9–25.4 cm) | 10.5–11.0 in (26.7–28 cm) |

Need Help Choosing Your Size?
For most pieces we recommend choosing the larger size, especially for wider bands and bangles. For slim, stackable rings you may prefer the smaller size for a more secure feel.
Many of our gold and diamond rings and some bracelets can be resized. Contact us with the style name or a photo and we will confirm what is possible and provide a quote.
Try to borrow a piece they already wear on the same finger or wrist and measure it, or ask a close friend or family member. When in doubt, choose a slightly larger size or an adjustable design.
Heavier, wider designs and comfort‑fit interiors can feel different from slim bands in the same size. If you know your size in a very thin band, you may prefer half a size larger in a wide statement ring.

A 1.4 carat marquise lab-grown diamond in a low bezel solitaire, made to order in your choice of 14K gold, 18K gold or platinum.
A slim, full bezel hugs the center diamond and sits low on a gently tapered band, so the ring snags less and wears comfortably every day.
The center is a certified lab-grown diamond, D–F color and VS clarity or better: icy white, eye-clean and physically identical to a mined diamond. Because it is lab-grown, you get a bigger, brighter stone for the money, without the big-brand markup.
- Center stone: Marquise lab-grown diamond, approx. 1.35–1.50 ct, D–F color, VS1–VVS2 clarity, IGI certified
- Setting: Low Bezel Solitaire, bezel-set center
- Metal: 14K or 18K yellow, white or rose gold, or platinum
- Diamond type: lab-grown, conflict-free
- Sizing: made in your ring size
- Made for: engagements, anniversaries and milestone proposals
Each ring is handcrafted to order in the USA and ships in 16–20 business days, fully insured with free US shipping. Center diamond prices move with the market, so today's price is the one to lock in.
